Luman Reed Gallery, New-York Historical Society, New York, NY

Luman Reed, an important nineteenth-century art collector, built a gallery on the top floor of his house in lower Manhattan. The renovated gallery in the New-York Historical Society recreates the architectural spirit of his original gallery of the 1830s with modern amenities.
